Join us at our 2nd Annual For the Love of Women Luncheon and Expo on Monday, September 24th at Deer Run Golf Club. All proceeds directly benefit Love in the Name of Christ of Eastern Carver County to help us continue our mission of bringing help and hope to our neighbors in need.

Our guest speaker this year is Pastor Zipporah Bogonko, who will be speaking on the topic of “Loved to Wholeness.” As a vessel surrendered and submitted to the Lord, Zipporah has received a deposit of the Holy Spirit and the power of God to prepare her to be a voice to the masses. Her heart is dedicated to preaching the Gospel, and to the practical applications developed through teaching the Word of God with an anointing for love, hope, and compassion. As a much sought after women’s conference speaker, Zipporah is blessed to bring her unique message to women throughout the world. Her passion to mentor, lead, train, and motivate women has made her both an exceptional motivational speaker and an effective life coach. Zipporah serves as the Lead Pastor at Jesus Celebration Center Twin Cities. She also serves as a board member at SHINE IN THE WORLD MINISTRIES and provides leadership training in partnership with MERGE TWIN CITIES .

Lunch will be buffet style and will include a variety of breads, freshly sliced ham/turkey/roast beef, cheeses, lettuce, chips, and cookies. A variety of vendors will be present for your shopping enjoyment.

Calling all home-based businesses, crafters, and businesses with a focus on women…we want YOU to join us as a vendor at the 2nd Annual For the Love of Women Luncheon and Expo on Monday, September 24th at Deer Run Golf Club.

We are seeking a variety of vendors to promote and sell their wares at our event. Standard 4 x 8 tables will be provided with the option to purchase lunch. Additionally, we are looking for authors who would like to promote their book at our Author’s Table. We will place your books on the table and sell them for you!

  • 4 x 8 table only = $40
  • 4 x 8 table with lunch = $65
  • Author’s table = $25 (If the author would like to attend, we ask that you please purchase a luncheon ticket using the link above.)

Only one vendor from each business will be allowed at the vendor fair (i.e., only one Norwex distributor, only one chiropractic business, etc.). In the event you are the second distributor to register for a particular company/niche, your registration fee will be refunded. No other cancellations or refunds will be given.

Set-up time starts at 1 p.m. and vendors must be ready to sell by 1:30 p.m. We ask that vendors do not start tearing down prior to 3:30 pm. All money and tax are the sole responsibility of the vendor.

The 4-Person Scramble format of the Love INC Chari-Tee golf tournament, held on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Deer Run Golf Club in Victoria, is great for golfers of all skill levels while helping raise money for a worthy cause. It’s sure to attract many professionals for the opportunity to enjoy a day on the green to develop or further business relationships with customers and vendors while networking with friends and co-workers. Sponsors of all levels will benefit from the intimate networking opportunities afforded by a day spent on the green, while also promoting their brand to our golfers. All event proceeds go towards supporting Love INC’s continued success bringing hope and help through the name of Christ to neighbors in need right here in our own community.

Back-Pack Give Back: Donations and Volunteers Needed!

Discovery United Methodist Church (275 Lake Drive East, Chanhassen), a partner church of Love INC of Eastern Carver County, is hosting and coordinating the distribution of school supplies and backpacks to families in need in Eastern Carver County in August. Your help is needed!

This year, they will be distributing 500+ backpacks, so we need your help to fill them with school supplies! Donated supplies should be dropped off at Discovery United Methodist Church in Chanhassen by August 13th.

Volunteers needed to assist with distribution

Volunteers are needed on the following dates to assist with distribution of backpacks:

  • Friday, August 24, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm – 25 volunteers needed to assist with set-up, help students select a backpack, serve a meal, and clean-up after the event
  • Saturday, August 25, 10;30 am – 2:30 pm – 20 volunteers needed to assist with set-up, help students select a backpack, serve a meal, and clean-up after the event

River City Days Pancake Breakfast

On Sunday, July 29, 2018, Chaska’s River City Days will be hosting a free-will offering pancake breakfast benefiting Love INC. Chef Bob DeMaris and his family will be preparing and providing pancakes, sausage, fresh blueberry and strawberry toppings, butter, syrup, whipped topping, coffee, and orange juice. And for the first time ever, the breakfast will include LIVE music provided by The Bury Brothers, a local group who is excited to perform in their hometown. We hope you will join us to eat, volunteer, or do BOTH!

  • When: Sunday, July 29, 2018
  • Time: 9:00 am – 12:30 pm for breakfast (8:30 am – 1:00 pm for volunteers)
  • Where: Chaska City Square Park (located in historic downtown Chaska with the gazebo)

Interested in volunteering for the pancake breakfast? We need 6-7 volunteers to help each shift; duties include operating the cash register, serving food, and helping to bus tables. Click here to learn more and to sign up as a volunteer.

Our Towel Ministry Needs Bath and Kitchen Towels

CAN YOU HELP? Our Towel Ministry, hosted by East Union Lutheran Church, is in DESPERATE need of bath and kitchen towels.

The following donations are requested:

  • New bath towel sets (bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth) – preferably neutral colors (gray or tan)
  • Flour sack dish towels
  • Gently used bath towel sets (bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth) – any color

Sign-up now open for 2018 Backpack & School Supplies Distribution!

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for our Backpack & School Supply Distribution is now open! Once again, Love INC has partnered with Discovery United Methodist Church to make backpacks and school supplies available to any family in need within District 112 school boundaries.

Applicants MUST LIVE WITHIN THE EASTERN CARVER COUNTY (District 112) SCHOOL BOUNDARIES (Carver, Chanhassen, Chaska, or Victoria), but do not have to attend a school within District 112.

Backpacks and school supplies will be available for pick-up on the following dates:
* Friday, August 24th, 6-8 PM
* Saturday, August 25th, 11 AM – 2 PM

Pick-up will be held at Discovery United Methodist Church, located at 275 Lake Drive E., Chanhassen, MN 55317.

NOTE: We have changed the format of the pick-up this year. Upon arriving to pick up your backpack and supplies, your child will be assigned a “personal shopper” who will assist them in picking out their backpack and school supplies. This may take a few minutes longer than previous years, but we believe the children will enjoy having more participation in picking out their items.

Registration is OPEN for our 2018 Chari-Tee Golf Tournament!

It’s our annual fundraising golf tournament, but in a new venue!

What could be better than spending the day on the golf course? Spending it on the golf course with friends while supporting a                             

Christian nonprofit organization, of course!

We cordially invite you to join us at our annual Love INC Chari-Tee Golf Tournament. Bring along your friends, relatives, or business associates and we’ll have a great day, rain or shine.

A sandwich lunch buffet, silent auction, dinner and awards ceremony in a private banquet facility, golf cart, and 18 holes of golf are included. Registration, the driving range, and the buffet lunch will begin at 11:00 AM. We will have a shotgun start promptly at 1:00 PM. Please e-mail our office (info@loveincecc.org) if you will be arriving late and will need a boxed lunch, or if you have special dietary needs.

Love INC ECC chosen to receive funds from Chaska Rotary Gala

Love in the Name of Christ of Eastern Carver County is honored to have been chosen to share in the fundraising proceeds from the Chaska Rotary’s 2018 Spring Gala. Love INC will receive $5,000 to be utilized to revive the Car Repair Ministry, a ministry partnership with Westwood Community Church to provide car repairs to neighbors in need.

The 2018 gala, which is open to the public (we’d love to have you join the celebration!), is scheduled for 6 pm on Saturday, April 21, at Hazeltine National Golf Club. Tickets for the circus-themed dinner event, which will include an auction and dancing, are $100 per person and may be purchased at www.rotaryclubofchaska.org or by calling Rick Ness at 612-730-9999.
