FurniShare provides free, gently-used donated furniture to our neighbors in need. Volunteers assist in the warehouse and with deliveries, as well assisting customers, inventorying donations, etc..

Summer Opportunities:

Help us Feed Hungry Children

Love INC has partnered with District 112 / Eastern Carver County schools to provide a lunch program for children in need during the summer months. Children (age 1-18) will receive lunch followed by participation in educational programming.

The program is Monday through Friday and begins on June 20th. The program will end on September 1st.  (There will be no meals served on June 19th, July 3rd, and July 4th.) Volunteers should report to the Community Center Building at Riverview Terrace ( 300 Ehlers Avenue, Chaska, MN).

Two to four (2-4) volunteers are needed from 12:15 pm to 2:00 pm. Volunteers will assist in handing out lunch, opening packages, etc., and general supervision of the children during lunch and the activity afterwards.

Community Opportunities:

Families Moving Forward Southwest
Families Moving Forward provides shelter for families experiencing homelessness. They do this by partnering with local faith communities and volunteers who host families overnight in their congregational buildings.

Heading Home Scott/Carver
A group of workers meet monthly to work on documenting progress towards the goals outlined in a 10 year plan to end homelessness and to determine what additional action steps need to be taken to accomplish even more.

Launch Ministry
Launch Ministry is a faith-based non-profit organization providing a safe and stable space for young adults between 18-29 years old in Scott and Carver counties. At Launch Ministry, we assist young people in a holistic transition by providing them with tools to develop life skills, opportunities to lead and serve, and by promoting spiritual and character formation. WeCAB is a network of volunteers whose mission is to provide safe, affordable, and flexible supplemental transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping, community services, worship services, etc. Visit their website at to learn more about available volunteer opportunities or call 1-844-743-3932, press 3, and you will be connected to WeCAB’s Administrative Assistant. Fill out the Volunteer Application and mail to the WeCAB address listed on the form. A volunteer Driver Coordinator will then contact you to answer any questions you may have and help you get started.
